In May 2023 the College will present its third bi-annual musical after the huge success of Hairspray in 2019 and Grease in 2021.
“Into the Woods” is a spell binding, hilarious and dark exploration of fairy tales that many of us have grown up with and the reality of what comes after “happy ever after”.
The musical tells the story of a Baker and his wife who set off on a challenging and grim journey to break a Witch’s curse. On this journey their story entwines with Cinderella, Repunzel and their Princes, Red Riding Hood and her Wolf, Jack and his Beanstalk and many other traditional fairytale characters. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them.
This award winning musical is a sensational stylistic change to our previous productions and will give students the opportunity to showcase their musical sophistication and talent for comedy.
